You need to have the five aspects in taking care of your beardies. These aspects includes: Housing, Food, Temperature, Lighting and Hygiene. Let’s the tackle these aspects one by one.

Housing

Baby bearded dragons must be kept safely in a 20 gallon tank. Have Astro-turf and a newspaper as a substrate for the tank. It is easy to maintain and clean. Do not use sand, crushed walnuts and wood chips, there is a tendency that baby beardies will eat it, and impaction will occur. It will put your baby beardie in danger. Asto-turf is a recommended substrate because of its moisture like texture; baby beardies would love this substrate.
Food

A maximum of 60 small crickets are consumable by your baby bearded dragons in a day. Green leafy vegetables are their favorite too. Give your dragons multiple small meals in a day; do not give large quantities at a time. The digestive process of your baby beardie is not that yet developed; it can withstand large amounts of food. Divide the 60 small crickets into 5 and it will give you 12 small crickets each food serving, mix these with green leafy vegetables in good amount. Letting you baby bearded dragon eat a lot will make them stress and weak. In addition, give them supplements recommended by your veterinarian to prevent nutritional deficiencies.

Temperature

Baby bearded dragon like adults loves to bask under the light. For these babies, the temperature must be slightly higher than those of the adults; it must be 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The tank must have a cooler and a warmer side. After basking your baby beardie will eventually cool its body.

Lighting

The best light for your baby bearded dragons is no other than UV lights. UV lights are emitted by the sun, but don’t worry, you can have a light which closely the same with the light emitted by the sun. Have fluorescent bulbs, these bulbs emit UVB rays. Make sure to change it twice a year, it should be every after 6 months.  UV lights are needed by your beardies as they grow, it enables their body to manufacture Vitamin D needed by Calcium to supply the bones needed requirements.

Hygiene

Proper hygiene is the key to a healthy body. Baby bearded dragon’s tank must be well maintained with the use of nontoxic washing liquids for cleaning. It will not harm your baby beardie, as much as possible if you can see any dirt inside the tank, clean it immediately. If the tank contains decors, clean it every single day to prevent bacterial proliferation and thus giving your baby bearded dragon clean and neat environment.
