The Amazing Citrus Bearded Dragon
A Citrus bearded dragon is an elegant kind of reptile dragon. It becomes more adult when it reaches 2-3 years
old that still maintains a good positioning condition. These kinds of bearded dragons have a proportioned arms,
legs and tail structure.
Talking about its characteristics, citrus bearded dragons have a bright lemon yellow, with narrow light lavender
side bars. That is why they are called citrus dragons. Other citrus beardies specimens are having a luminous
property of that leads to a green color.
It is intelligent and responsive especially to a new environment that they thrive in. The citrus bardies
head is triangular in shape, and their brown eyes that are slightly bulging out. Its eyes are round; the lower lid
of it has a dropping appearance. The upper and lower lip contains lines and does not allow any gap in between.
As the citrus bearded dragon reaches adulthood, its size will rapidly increase. It grows more into a well-formed
bearded dragon that has an overall length and weight of: Male 18 - 23 inches; 380 - 620 grams, Female: 17 - 20
inches; 380 - 540 grams.
Normal citrus bearded dragons should be active and has no extra jerking movements. Jerking movements can be
indicative of metabolic bone disease.
Citrus bearded dragons have wonderful specimens like the nails; nails are clear and semi-clear, most beardies
have black nails. The citrus beardies hatchlings shows a slight orange to extreme orange sometimes, but as you will
try to check it’s shed, the color appears to be citrus yellow with lavender side bars.
These color patterns will usually last for one year. The scales of it are orange together with the area
surrounding its ears and eyes.
Citrus bearded dragons are amazing reptiles because of its characteristic distinction to other types of bearded
dragons. These beardies need an ample care so that future generations will have a glance at them.
